UiAdoc will have its fifth Annual General Assembly on December 8 (Thursday) 2022.
Ram Srinivas, who is a PhD student in School of Business and Law, told us why he would like to run for the position of President.
"I have the experience and expertise in working in a similar role. So I feel I can contribute very well in this role. I'm passionate about what this role entails. In my previous experience in working as an Associate Vice President of the Indian Hockey Federation and legal coordinator representing India at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) I have significant experience of administration and work in managing committees.
I have been educated both in the US and UK - MBA in Strategy was from the Illinois State University, Normal, IL, USA. I received (Top 1%) honors in the university. My second master's is an MS in Organizational Psychology from the London School of Economics (LSE), London, UK. And my Bachelor's degree is in Computer Science engineering from Bangalore, INDIA. I have lived, worked,
and studied across 4 global locations namely India, US, UK, and Tanzania (Africa).
I have also worked in mid to senior honorary roles representing his State (Karnataka) and country (India) in various sports administration and sports fora. I was till recently the Vice-President of the Karnataka Hockey Association (2020-2022) and Associate Vice-President of the Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) between 2014-2016. And I was the legal coordinator, and representative, for his country's sporting board at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS), Lausanne, Switzerland - which is basically the World Court for Sports. I hope to be able to use my diverse and varied experiences, both professional and personal, in serving as the President of UiA Doc as I have the experiences and expertise in working in similar roles. So I feel I can contribute very well in this role as President. And I'm passionate about what this role entails. In my previous experience in working as an Associate Vice President of the Indian Hockey Federation and legal coordinator representing India at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) I have significant experience of administration and work in managing diverse committees and in interacting with multiple external and internal stakeholders.
I have also worked in a family owned business as a 3rd generation young entrepreneur leading two divisions of the business. And upon completing my MBA I have also worked as a Management Consultant leading Strategy, Organizational Change and Strategic Human Resources projects. All of this entailed taking leadership roles and being responsible for leading and working with teams, external and internal stakeholders, engaging in Public relations and efficiently managing the budgets.
So, I feel that I am adequately equipped in a role such aa the President and love to take up this responsibility."
