Intro day for new PhDs and Postdocs : 9th June 2021
Starting your PhD or Postdoc is a time when you get bombarded with information. We tried, from our own experiences, to prepare a small "starter kit" for the new PhDs and Postdocs, and we are happy to take you through it and create a space where we can all meet each-other and exchange experiences.

Firstly, Welcome to UiA!. :)
Do you know about UiAdoc? We are a body that is working to improve the research experience for all scholars in UiA. We strive to build a strong network of doctoral researchers and make a positive impact on their quality of life in the work environment. If you are keen to know more about us, this event is ideal for you.
Starting your PhD or Postdoc is a time when you get bombarded with information. We tried, from our own experiences, to prepare a small "starter kit" for the new PhDs and Postdocs, and we are happy to take you through it and create a space where we can all meet each other and exchange experiences.
You will also have an opportunity to meet new PhDs and Postdocs from different research areas and could lead to interesting collaborations.
As the COVID-19 situation is still volatile, and UiA discourages social events due to that reason, the meeting will be organized online via Zoom (link below). PhDs and Postdocs hired since April 2021 will receive an outlook invitation from us, but everyone interested in this event is welcome to join.
If you have already participated in the event last year/semester, feel free to send us feedback on how it may be improved, or even join us to share your experiences since you started work at UiA. After all, we are also learning in this process and we would be glad to improve our content and presentation.
