UiAdoc will have its fourth General Assembly on March 30th 2022.
Lik, who is a PhD in the Department of Engineering Sciences, told us why she is running for the position of Communications and Marketing coordinator on the UiAdoc board.
'I wish to be considered for the position of communications and marketing coordinator. I hope to use this as an opportunity to get to build relationships with people and learn to work with people from different countries. I hope to contribute to the growth of UiAdoc and create an environment that is more supportive of our academics.
In my previous work as a field assistant on an island in Malaysia, I was responsible to conduct outreach events in local schools and promote marine conservation work on social media. I believe with such experience, I am able to contribute ideas to improve the visibility of UiAdoc to reach more people using social media. Not only that, I will serve as a point of contact for questions that our academics might have and bring them to our board for further discussion. With this, we will work on finding a solution that can improve our working environment. I believe that I will be able to contribute to the future of UiAdoc and I look forward to joining the board.'
