UiAdoc will have its fourth General Assembly on March 30th 2022.
Matthias and Liuicja, who are PhDs in the Faculty of Fine Arts, told us why they are running for the position of Events and Activities coordinator Kristiansand campus on the UiAdoc board.
They will share the position on the board.
'We got to know UiAdoc through their events on both Grimstad and Kristiansand campuses. Matthias was taking part in the workshop on proposal writing in Grimstad in fall 2021 and the climbing event, so that's how he learned about the purpose of UiAdoc.
We think much can be done in the upcoming period:
Advance exchange and networking among PhD and Postdoc candidates.
Extend the communication channels to the leadership and research boards of UiA.
Work on a better connection and integration of both campuses.
Establish social events and experiment with new event formats for long lasting connections.
We are both event professionals having run concerts, conferences and networking events.
Matthias' work includes the Berlin music and tech conference Most Wanted: Music in Berlin (www.mwm-berlin.de) and Liucija's the Sørveiv music conference in Kristiansand (www.sorveiv.no). We feel that we have the needed experience for the position and we'd love to get more involved into UiAdoc´s activities.'
