Meet Ingrid, Your UiA Board Representative

After the votes were counted, Ingrid Lande Larsen was elected to represent the constituency of temporary employees at UiA, of which PhD and Postdoc researchers make a considerable number. She will replace university lecturer Stine Øyna on 1. August. The runner-up in the election, Mette Marie Næser Seldal, will serve as the deputy representative.

Ingrid Lande Larsen, UiA board representative for temporary employees from 1. August 2019

Ingrid, who is a PhD fellow at the Faculty of Engineering and Science, ran for this position with the hope of building connections and improving the working environment for all temporary employees at UiA. Among her stated goals are more opportunities for career and competence development for temporary employees, increased quality in the PhD education, and increased participation and integration of temporary employees. Ingrid was the official candidate of UiAdoc, and in her campaign she highlighted that connection. "If elected, I will build a strong connection between the University's PhD and Postdoc association UiAdoc and the university board, making sure that the voices of all temporary employees will be heard at the highest decision level of UiA." In a message to her new constituents, Ingrid is grateful, "the majority of you put your trust in me and I am both happy for your trust and determined to live up to it."

Congratulations Ingrid! We look forward to working with you.
