Pouria Akbari is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in the Information Systems Department at the University of Agder, focusing on responsible AI within an AI4user project. His educational background includes a BSc in Industrial Engineering and an MSc in Information Systems from the University of Tehran. Before his academic journey at the University of Agder, Pouria worked as a data analyst in the telecommunications industry.
"I am eager to express my interest in the Communication's role of the UiAdoc board. With over six years of industry experience, including two years as a Ph.D. researcher at the University of Agder, I am confident in my ability to make significant contributions toward UiAdoc's strategic objectives. During my time as a UiA researcher, I gained valuable insights into doctoral training, social activities, and academic career paths through teaching experiences and conducting my own research. I also served as the deputy Ph.D. student representative for the Information Systems Department, so I understand Ph.D. students' concerns during their programs and career options thereafter. Moreover, I organized social activities at department seminars to foster networking and collaboration.
If appointed, I aim to leverage my expertise to enhance UiAdoc's advocacy for quality research training. Additionally, my proficiency in project management will facilitate overseeing social activities. Thank you for your consideration. I believe my background has provided me with relevant skills and perspectives that would serve UiAdoc well".
